After I quoted a tweet from Lee Bin, the creator of Hello Jadoo, he responded to a pinned tweet I made about the fighter replacements!

Introducing Avra Yumeno!

 

Avra is a cheerful, passionate, bubbly, athletic and glamorous magician who is married. She enjoys expressing her beauty in public, and dreams about becoming a movie star. In combat, Avra usually fights from long distances with her magic, to try and prevent herself from getting messed up. Avra also likes to provoke her opponents.

Early in her life, she inherited a few magic powers from her parents. Avra had a lot of good grades when she was in school. Avra once had many boyfriends, but most of them felt that they couldn't keep up with her beauty, so they each decided to look for another girlfriend.

Avra is usually polite, and believes that truth must always be told, no matter the consequences. Her magic spells are amplified by her wand that was given to her when she was little. Avra sees the world as sunny, bright and colorful.

Avra takes good care of herself. She is capable of flying, and excels at keeping her opponents at bay.

However, Avra is too worried about her beauty. Even the slightest imperfection can cause her to worry. Her zoning habits have a tendency of making her avoid confrontation.

In Avra's spare time, she enjoys watching women's gymnastics and sports such as Swimming, Tennis and Volleyball. Avra also spends some of her time showing off, while receiving a decent amount of money.

Avra speaks in a formal manner. She often does an arms akimbo pose, or has at least one of her hands on her hips, which can convey confidence. She is capable of healing herself, either by kissing someone or slapping her butt.

Avra pretends to work with Shadaloo in an attempt to infiltrate its members.

I never thought I would make it this far, in creating a silly combo ROM Hack where some of the characters are replaced. There's been so many troubles, but in the end we managed to pull through.

Madonna de Swan Dances Along!

 

At long last, after so many months of going through so many different artists, Madonna replaces Dee Jay! I had a lot of fun working on Madonna. It took me only a week to finish tiling her sprites into the ROM Hack, and editing the animations, grab positions and Hitboxes for the most part. Only a few of her sprites were a bit troublesome to insert.

It turns out that Madonna's sprites use even fewer tiles than Jadoo.

Madonna appeared in a fighting game, Makeruna! Makendou 2 for the Super Famicom and Playstation. I used her sprites from the Super Famicom version, as they were easier for me to capture. I even have a spritesheet of her SFC sprites up on the Spriters Resource. She also appeared as a boss in an RPG, Makeruna! Makendou Z.

Introduction

When I received unintended feedback from sharing Game Genie codes for the game on Twitter, the project became a high scale ROM Hack. It all started when I wanted to increase the Special Cancel Window in both SNES and Genesis SSF2, to make Old Sagat's cancels from Super Turbo possible. I also wanted to farm Watch Hours on one of my YouTube channels for monetization, 2 years after accidentally meeting the monetization requirements on another YouTube channel I used to have.

Stef's PCM Driver Fix and Pyron's Color Hack were used as a base for this ROM Hack.
